A gorgeous 59000 mile, 2008 3 owner Jaguar XK 4.2 Convertible finished in Lunar Grey with contrasting ivory leather and black carpets, 8 Main dealer Jaguar service stamps. Viewing really is essential to appreciate how exceptional DN08 NYD really is.
Supplied new in April 2008 by Hatfields Jaguar Shrewsbury, the V5 shows just 2 former keeper from new, the second Lady owner purchasing the XK in June 2009 and owning it until September 2012 when the last owner purchased it.. The last service was carried out in March 2017 at 57374 miles by Stratstone Jaguar. The MOT was done in July 2017 at 58407 miles and a new 12 months MOT will be carried out prior to delivery. Factory options above standard specification include Alloy wheels Senta – 8.5×20 F 9.5×20 R, Jaguar Smart Key System – Keyless Entry, Satin American Walnut veneer finish interior, electric folding electro chromatic door mirrors and heated front windscreen.
The second generation of Jaguar XK was first seen as the Advanced Lightweight Coupe (ALC) at the Detroit Motor Show in 2005. It was the first Jaguar to be completely styled by Ian Callum and the ALC was, to all intents and purposes, the production-ready car officially announced at the Frankfurt Motor Show later that year.
On sale in 2006, the XK (X150) Coupe and Convertible followed the X350 XJ by using an aluminium bonded and riveted monocoque with aluminium body panels. There are only two welds in the entire car, one either side of the roof. This made the X150 90kg lighter than the previous steel-bodied X100 and it’s stiffer too, with the second generation Coupe and Convertible 50 per cent and 31 per cent more rigid than their predecessors respectively.
At launch, Jaguar retained the 300hp 4.2-litre V8 from the previous car, though there was also a new fuel injection system to help with emissions, plus variable valve timing and a twin air-intake system and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
This genuine low mileage example is particularly lovely to drive. The engine is smooth, very responsive and sounds awesome. The gear change is seamless. There are no warning lights on the dashboard after test driving. The tyres are all Premium Dunlop with good tread just another sign of how well this car has been maintained. There are no vibrations from the steering wheel or pulling to either side. This XK has recently been Jaguar serviced and will be supplied with a fresh 12 months MOT. Any inspection or test drive welcome. A particularly lovely example.
